Horrorscope

Though I don't believe in Horoscopes, I started this series dedicating it to all those to whom
I've told I'm a Scorpio, a Leo, etc... :-)

Most of the etchings in this series are made on Iron plates.

Ever heard anyone else etching Iron? My first iron etching was creates in the '80. By mistake.
A couple of years ago, I took it out, and fund it was rusty...

I'm usually very careful in trying to keep the plate completely unscratched.
On these plates I leave the rust, and all the scratches, so as to have a completely unwanted background pattern.

Giustamente inserito anche tra i segni zodiacali,
è un gran bell’animale.

Trasversale, coriaceo.

I tori di certe razze scozzesi sono a pelo lungo,
Ma raramente vengono tosati per farne lana..

Mi sento del Leone a volte, o magari solo l’ascendente,
ed in quelle occasioni come Leone mi comporto.

L’ultimo segno nato per ora.
Una piccola bilancia pesa-posta,
appartenuta a mio padre.

Sarà anche bilanciata, ma la lastra di ferro
trovata per questa incisione aveva un angolo mancante.
Equilibrio precario.

Again a scottish sheep... alive!

Mi sono ispirato al fatto che il Dott. Giunti (della omonima casa editrice), abbia in casa un corridoio con rappresentazioni di Galli e Galline, che lui chiama ‘la Galleria’.

Enorme pollo, esercizio di tecnica ad incrocio tremolato.
